About the route

The Lemosho route, at an unhurried pace.

Nine days makes this the longest Kilimanjaro journey in the catalogue. It follows the Lemosho route from the gate reached via Londorossi, with designated tented camps on the mountain and the descent by Mweka Gate, the same route as the six-day Lemosho climb at a slower pace.

Tanzania National Parks gives five to eight days for the climb itself and notes that more days raise the chance of reaching the summit, so the extra time is the point of this version. Ask how the nine days divide between travel, acclimatisation and the climb: that split is what Big Time confirms with your itinerary.

From official park information, checked in October 2026: Tanzania National Parks, Kilimanjaro National Park (opens in a new tab); Tanzania National Parks, Kilimanjaro visitor guide (opens in a new tab). Daily stages, camps and timings are confirmed with your itinerary.
