Awaiting Big Time’s review. This guide uses our own photographs and the property’s published information. It stays out of search results until Big Time Safaris approves it.
Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp is a tented camp on Moi South Lake Road, on the shore of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Rift Valley. The camp’s website describes twenty furnished canvas tents with private bathrooms and full-board meals; our own photographs show raised tents among acacias at the water’s edge. It is separate from Crescent Island Game Sanctuary.

Use the sourced information below to plan, then confirm your room, meals and current facilities in a written proposal. Ask us about Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp.

The camp’s website describes Crescent Camp as twenty furnished canvas tents in a garden setting on the shores of Lake Naivasha, on Moi South Lake Road. Our team photographed it in October 2026: a reception under a canvas canopy with the camp’s name above the entrance, tents raised on stilts with red timber verandahs, and lawns running down to the water under yellow-barked acacias.
Drowned trees stand in the shallows along this stretch of shore, and water hyacinth gathers at the edge. Lake levels vary, so the shoreline you see may differ from our photographs.

According to the camp’s website, each of its twenty tents has wooden floors and a private en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water and a flushing toilet. The camp quotes for single or double occupancy, and confirms the bed configuration, double or twin, when you enquire.
Our photographs show two styles of tent: raised tents on stilts with steps up to a timber verandah, and a canvas tent beneath a separate pitched canopy roof. We did not photograph the tent interiors, so this page describes them only as the camp does.

The camp’s own rates are full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its website describes local and international dishes served in the restaurant or outdoors, and a bar. The dining room we photographed is laid with red tablecloths, flowers and folded napkins, under canvas with lanterns hanging from the beams.
On a Big Time safari, the meals included at each stop are set out in your written quotation rather than assumed from the camp’s own rate basis. Share allergies and dietary needs when you enquire; the camp asks for them before arrival.

On our visit a waterbuck rested on the grass in front of a tent, and a duck led her ducklings along the water’s edge. Animals move freely around the lakeshore and none is guaranteed. The Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute notes that hippos graze the lakeside grassland, often out of the water, so keep well back from them on the shore. The camp’s facilities page mentions its garden setting and an outdoor pool, and asks guests to confirm current pool access before their visit.

The camp’s website suggests lake boat trips and birdwatching with a licensed boat operator, walking visits to Crescent Island, and day trips to Hell’s Gate National Park, and notes that these independent operators set their own availability, charges and access conditions. Treat them as optional extras to be quoted, not as part of the stay.
Kenya Wildlife Service reaches Hell’s Gate along the Moi South Lake Road, the road the camp is on, through Elsa Gate, and Mount Longonot lies on the Nairobi–Nakuru highway on the way to the lake.

Crescent Island Game Sanctuary is a separate, independent sanctuary on the lake, which the camp’s website suggests visiting before returning to your tent. A night at the camp is not admission to the island, and our photographs of the camp are not photographs of the sanctuary.
The camp’s website gives its address as Moi South Lake Road, Naivasha, and describes the camp as about 90 minutes from Nairobi. That is the camp’s own estimate, and traffic on the Nairobi–Nakuru highway can make the drive longer. Lake Naivasha lies in the Rift Valley north-west of Nairobi, and the Moi South Lake Road leads around the lake from the A104.

None of our approved packages names Crescent Camp. The journeys that stop at Lake Naivasha either name another property or leave the stay to the quotation, so if you would like to stay here, ask us to quote it for your dates and we will confirm the tent, meals and activities in writing.

A lakeshore camp is a change of pace between the Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli, with birds and boat trips close by.
The camp’s website welcomes both, and asks for children’s ages and room needs when you enquire.
The website describes meeting, retreat and celebration spaces with catering.
The camp also takes traditional camping enquiries, with separate pitch arrangements and quotes.
None of these journeys names Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp. They visit Lake Naivasha; ask us whether Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp can be quoted for your dates.
